I have never gotten sick from drinking soy milk that has been open for more than 7 days, so that might not be the cause of the gas. Was there anything else that he ate that could have given him gas? Has he had eggs before? Is it possible that he is allergic to the eggs.

Food poisoning usually takes longer than that to set in, and it is much worse than gas. Food poisoning will make you violently ill. He wouldn't be acting normal. I would try some gas drops, like Mylicon or something to make the gas better, and wait for the dr. to return your call. Try not to worry too much. Lol..I know its hard!!
