Ironically, I think Walter Reed is scheduled to close after the last round of BRAC (Base Realignment and Closures).

Sorry guys......Walter Reed is not that bad. I was stationed there for 18 months during my recovery. Yes some of the buildings are not up to par, however it sure does beat living in the middle of a war. For many soldiers, I believe that just being home in the states is a blessing. Most of the soldiers that cried when I was there were the same soldiers that did not like the food, thought that their care was not good enough, did not like their command, hated their free items that Americans supplied, wanted out of the Army and disliked the flavor of their toothpaste. I think you should get my point. My recovery went well and I am going to back to the desert in May. If I get wounded, I have no promblem going back to Walter Reed to be fixed.
Thank you for your support,
SGT Haggerty

Events like at Walter Reed will never be fixed as long as government employees cannot be fired. They are what created the problem. In business you always go the source of the problem and make the corrections at that level.

Never vote for a repuglican again, first thing they do is cut taxes to those that can afford it the most and to pay for it they cut veterans benefits and programs to the people that can afford it least. This is always the case as long as I have been alive and that is 61 years. .
