It never speaks out against the child molesters

It never spoke out against the Nazis. It even provided the Nazis the names of Christians so the nazis could figure out who was non-Christian.

It never spoke out when the Catholic Hutus killed 900,000 Tutsis in Rwanda in 100 days and even helped Catholic priests who participated in the slaughter to leave Rwanda. Then the Pope, JPII, urged that the murderers not be executed for their crimes but never once offered condolences for the victims.

Where did you get the information? Please cite your sources. Anyone can make a statements like that. All your accusations have no basis in truth or in fact. The truth is The Catholic Church has spoken out against child molesters and Nazism.
Anyway, thank you for persecuting the Church Jesus Christ founded.

Jesus warned his Church that there would be people like you who will persecute us. So what you are doing is a fulfilment of his prophecy. Thank you!

"Happy are those who work for peace; God will call them his children! Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them! Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers. Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted." (Matthew 5, 9-12)

"Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way you judge others, and he will apply to you the same rules you apply to others>" (Matthew 7,3)

St. Paul had the same words for people like you.

"So then, let us stop judging one another. We must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help strengthen one another." (Romans 14, 13a.19)

Peace and every blessing!

Excuse me, but somebody stole your brain and replaced it with tater-tots. Your "facts" are garbage..

The Rwandan Massacre has nothing to do about religion it was an ethnic conflict. The pope couldn't stop it any more than he could stop George Bush from invading Iraq. If you want to blame anyone then the United Nations is at fault... It could have done a lot more, and just stood by.

You also forgot to mention that the Tutsis ending taking power and the Hutus fled to western Zaire because they were afraid of reprisals.

Your question indicates major anti-Catholic bias. During WWII, for instance, Pope Pius XII was instrumental in saving the lives of many Jews, so much so in fact that the chief rabbi in Rome converted to Catholicism. Read your history and you will learn that the Church was very much persecuted during that time period.

As for the child molestor issue, I admit that the Church could have and should have done more. Nevertheless, great strides have been made. See usccb.org for more details.

Pope John Paul II was a great and holy man. Even people of different denominations/religious traditions agree on that. Why bad mouth him?

What are you talking about. For WWII you must study a lot, there's so much controversy over that. Child Molesters...you fool, Pope John Paul II spoke against that so much. Forget it, I can't explain to an idiot like you. Do some research before you ask questions.

Why had the Pope called out for peace in Northern Ireland for 30 years and the catholics were still fighting the protestants for years over there.
I thought the Pope was their leader.

In WWII, the vatican was basically trying to protect itself. They have indeed apologized for that, guess you missed that part of your history lesson.

You're confused, the Hutu slaughter of the Tutsi's had nothing to do with any religion, it had to do with race and jealousy. Tutsi's are from lighter skinned tribes and the white men in Rwanda who ran things were more prone to give them the best jobs, etc..

If you're gonna ask why one particular religion seems tolerant of evil done in its name, why not ask the muslims why they aren't doing anything to stop the terrorists? I personally have not seen any sign of islam trying to actually do anything to stop them and it seems that no one expects them to? Why is that?

The Church is a giant ancient institution that does much good in the world, but since it is full of human beings it has many flaws. Because the Church is closely tied to all sources of power and influence, it will not take ideological stands on many issues in fear of rocking the boat and losing influence and money.

speak out?
how?
what good would that do.
no one in this day and age would listen.
would it even make a difference?
REAL catholics are not evil. they do not commit, defend or support heinous acts because that would conflict with the word of God (not only that..it is obviously WRONG)
Bad people who pretend to be good will get what's coming to them. And Good people who are geniune should fear not.

I hope this helps in some way..just know that crimes commited by ANYONE should not be tolerated.

If you were in the Church's position, would you admit to aiding Hitler instead of opposing him? It goes beyond that. For hundreds of years, the Church did its best to oppose the Bible being written in the language of the common man. If a person was caught with a Bible, he was tortured and then killed. The Church has an ugly past.
