Say you meet a woman who is completely bald -- no eyelashes, no eyebrows, no hair anywhere. How would you feel, looking at her? Please respond with any impressions -- pity, awkwardness, interest, revulsion, curiosity, whatever. Describe as accurately as you can your emotional and person response to seeing this type of woman. This is research for a book. Thank you in advance for your answers!

I have a cousin who has such a condition. Believe me, it is a state of pity for that person (specially in India where peopletend to ask uncomfortable Qs).

Personally, I feel God has given all of us some +ves and some -ves. Considering it to be a -ve the person should concentrate on the +ves. This will make people notice the shortcoming but would definitely focus more on what that person's contribution is.

We all are in some or the other way having certain parts in our body that people can joke about. If we know how to laugh with people on that point that makes it less painful and over the time becomes our asset as only we have that thing which we can joke about. In front of us, only the most unsocial persons would dare to make fun of ourselves when we know how to take that in stride.

This is what I tell my sis and this is what I do for myself when somebody tries to make fun of my long nose (I tell that among humans I am most well adapted to differentiate between two perfumes, with time I have developed the art and I do receive calls for advice on that).

Eyes, smile, legs. Thats the order I check things out. I would definitely notice no hair but it would strike me after the I do the 123.
Probably 90% of that first impression would be established by the time I started thinking about how she looked with no hair.

hello

Interesting question and subject to research -
By no hair do you mean alopecia - no i would not feel pity or awkwardness . it would depend what sort of relationship i have with her - would she be fully clothed or completely naked .
I have always asked my girlfriends to shave as i find it very exciting . For going out there are wigs and false eyelashes
If it is the result of keemotheraohy i would be sympathetic and supportive and assure her that it will grow back after her treatment

Well at first I would definitely feel curious. I maybe walk up to her and strike up a conversation. I wouldn't care what she looked like as long as she was nice. I would also feel kinda bad for her. I hope I helped and good luck with your book!

You didn't say if it's from an illness. I don't judge people by their looks. Does hair make you a good person? Look beyond the vanity!

I guess it's more likely to be Pitty, I'd think she's having chemo-therapy, and thus, I'll automatically pitty her, and sympathize with her.
