my so called good friend X and I went with different friends to my friend's eighteenth birthday bash where the entire grade was invited.
the next day I texted him to joke he hasn't called me in a week and dude are u still alive and asked was he at the party? he texted back to say he was and he did call me to find out where i was at the party. that was obviously a lie because my phone didn't have that missed call record. why did he even bother to lie i mean hey i wasn't confronting him that he didn't look for me during the party.

was it because he felt bad for not even bothering to find out where i was at the party? he felt he should have?

Now after he's lying as if I am stupid, I am not so sure if he is a good friend. He is avoiding me on purpose? If not for the lie, I wouldn't have even bat an eyelid that he didn't look for me during the party -I didn't look for him either but I kept a look out for him.

things are not always as they seem, it is possible he called a wrong number, or even was going to call you, thought he had, but had not....

why would he need to lie, there is no reason, but be carfull what your prepared to throw away, and for what?

Ask him, what number he has for you, tell him that you had no call missed on your phone, it is always best to be open when we have things on our mind, it always solves things faster.

:)

or....

maybe he felt bad about you both having not gone together!

but remember you BOTH were with other people not just him, and no one has done anything wrong, him or you...

TALKING it all over is best thing to do.

Drop him as a friend, I too had this problem at age 12.
Popular friend was having a party, and invited everyone with an invitation except me.
I was invited at last minute by this person out of pity.
I went anyway, but did not stay long and realized I have to look after me, and not follow anyone or feel as though I am not part of the "In" crowd.
I have one good friend today, but still guard myself cause I am worth more than just a rug to walk on.
I am well liked and have a great family who will always invite me into their lives. NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN FAMILY. Cherish it always. Friends come and go and most always will disappoint you. Don't be the jester's fool.

I feel for you. Dry your eyes. Hold up your head. And pretend this doesn't matter even though it does. The lees you show hurt. The better you feel!
