Depends. What things does she like? Do you have any interests in common? Try just spending some time with her. Actually listen when she tells you something. Make her listen to you when you say something important. Try to find something she loves and read up on it. You'll find if you reach out to her, she will respond. Most times relationships take work. If you just let it be, it will slip away.
Often you can find a class that you are both interested in. Any common bond will help improve your relationship.

ok. Get your focus off your friends first. Then spend some time with your mom - that is the very best way to do it. What does she like to do? Do it. Where does she like to go? Take her there. What food does she like? Get it for her. What hobbies does she have? Do them with her. Make her feel special and spend time with her at home or on the phone. Good luck

i don't know.
i'm not close with my mom (i never meet her for nearly 2 years, and we talk on the phone sometime, but it's very boring conversation.),so i dont'know how to become close with mom.
but one thing i know is u are not the only one in the world that don't close with your mom. there are many people that don't by many reason. so don't need to be jealous your friends.

I go through this everyday as my son wants nothing to do with me.
try telling your mom what you did that day, give her a hug and give her a kiss once in awhile, and most important tell her you love her.

Sit down and have a good talk. There has to be a reason for this.

you can start by sharing your daily experiences and then eventually you can confide your concerns, etc. closeness comes naturally. maybe sharing quality time with her is all you need.
