Tough call, based on specifications...

The Sony has the advantage of image stabilization, but the Canon has a lens that is a full stop faster, so it might not need the IS as quickly.

If you go here and click on "Read Owner Opinions," you will only see ONE the the brand new Ixus 75, but 21 people averaged less than 4 stars for the T-30.

If you look at the Ixus 65, the precursor to the 75, you will see that it fared a bit better.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-T30 and it is an excellent digital camera. I really like it a lot, as it is very simple to use. The quality of the pictures are superb.

I like Sony cybershot better, I have developed photos using different brands of camera in the same photo store. I am more satisfied with the pics from sony.

I will go for the Canon. Canon has been in the business much longer than Sony.

I have the Canon and it is great. I wish or rather my next camera will be a Nikon

I own two Canons now, and they're so good that I sold my SLR. I'd go with the Canon.
