It sounds like you are irritating the piercing from taking it in an out so often. Did you wait for it to finish healing (3 months plus) before taking it out the first time? Those red bumps are cuased from the ring being twisted too much. Crust bits are signs that the piercing is healing. are you allowed to do something like put a stud in and tape over it for sports? Because you realyl need to leave the piercing alone and let it heal.

If it's not infected, it may be that you are having a slight reaction to the metal. This happens to my ears if I don't pick the right earrings. Make sure your nose ring is nickel-free and surgical stainless steel if it isn't real gold or silver. (that will be a start) The salt water rinse, like previous posters have said, is the best route right now. If you have switched earrings, done the rinse for a week, and nothing gets better...I would go to a local tattoo shop where they do piercings. I'm sure they will have another suggestion for you and possibly the product that you need.

there is a salt water spary that is made for peircings. It is called H2 Ocean. It works awsome. I too have my nose peirced and must take it out daily for work. I bought the spray wear the peircing was done and have had no more problems with it. It runs about $7 a can. You can use it as many times a day as you need. You just spary it on the outside and inside of the nose and it cleanses it and helps it to heal properly.

try using that 'Ear Care' stuff u get when u get stuff pierced. It really works on anything. U could also try hydrogen peroxide. Its gonna sting a little, but it'll clear everything away. Ask the people in the ear-piercing places in the mall, they'd know too! Best of luck :-)

Yes this happened to me it is gross. Clean the crust away twice a day with an antiseptic lotion such as TCP or diluted tea tree oil, or just salt water.
It may be a little infected, but if you keep cleaning it regularly it should clear up.

soak your ring in sea salt.
scrub your pierced skin daily with Dial soap (the original NOT the scented junk)
also put a cotton ball of sea salt water on the skin daily
that should fix it right up within one to two weeks!
