use spell check.
ice cubes. bananas. Chewing gum- Beeman's if you can find it.sleep in an upright position almost sitting. lose weight - even the smallest amount pressing on your diaphragm can create heartburn. Do breathing exercises like yoga chee-gung. eat small meals slowly- I have ended up using chop sticks- really helps to stop that "chow down" syndrome. And check your posture.

You can stir a 1/2 tsp of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) into a glass of water and drink it.
Be careful not to ever take too much---it can cause blood pH problems if you take too much, but is a great, safe stomach acid neutralizer if taken in small quantities.

If you only get it for certain foods don't eat them. I get it with Garlic and green peppers. If it's everything, I'd keep Calcium around. Or preferrably a chewable. I've tried everything. My mother says real ginger (not powder).

Try baking soda and water. It tastes terrible, but it works. Alka Seltzer is basically pellets of baking soda that fizz in water.
