and if so, how can you "love" someone you've never met in the flesh?
isn't it just meaningless to profess otherwise? and if that's true, what do you really get out of God's love?

Golden: the Bin Laden thing is completely false, and you will find no credible source to support it. It's right-wing myth, nothing more. Even Bush's own people have testified to congress to the contrary. Personally, I consider lying to create causus belli a far greater crime than lying about fellatio. But hey, that's just me.

Brendan...
I LOVE YOU but, come on man! Your bio quote:
"Bill Clinton is easily the best president in 20 years. George W. Bush is the worst president of all time." End Quote
Bill Clinton committed fraud, treason and lied in court in front of a judge committing perjury.="I did not have sex with that woman"
He let Bin Ladin go after he bombed USS Cole! He, Bin L. was detained by another government and he Bill C. said let him go! Wow what a patriot! I like to think a good president protects and defends our military!
Sorry Bill!-(I have forgiven you much)
Your politics aside...An atheist? God deserves better from you, no?
That is okay, God is Love and simply ask and you will be forgiven.
:^)

XOXO

You love with the love of God. God who knows everyone. To love someone you have never met is a failing of the English language. It means to have compassion for. In other words, I can love the people of the world if by keeping abreast of what's going on in the world and doing whatever I can to make the world a better place.
And the only reason any human has love is because God first loved us. Love is God and comes from God.

God's love blesses in ways that most realize later in life. We do not see it as we go day to day because our focus is in many directions, mostly towards ourselves ultimately, because that's what is important.
When we are able to step out of that shell, we are able to see what God is doing for us when we are blind to Him.
We can say we love someone we've never met, but that is a human test for us all with God's help (blessing), while God's door is always open to those who accept Him.

There are many different "kinds" of love. Having a tender heart towards others, having the desire to wish all mankind can be happy, desiring to help all have a better live, this can be construed as loving those whom you have never met.

"love thy neighbor as thy self..." you are my "neighbor;" a fellow human being in this world, so, yes, I love you as a person. Now, I can NOT LIKE you, but I am commanded to love you.
How can I love you without knowing you?
Easy... love you the way God loves me. I love people, but hate the sin... I "love" homosexuals as a people, but hate the sin of homosexuality. That is how I do it.

Yes, I love you. God loves you. Why do i have to know or meet you to care about your well being? I love you with the love of brotherhood, but God's love is everlasting to everlasting.
