Hi Im congested, have a runny nose and sore throat. I already called the Dr the issue isnt what meds I can take...Im looking for any diet options to keep the nutrients in me for baby. My taste buds arent working I cant taste a thing and I've lost my appetite due to the sore throat but Im trying 2 eat something. Ive been drinking OJ water and soup. Eating toast etc...I dont want to take milk products b/c of the mucous it produces. What else can I take thats nourishing for the baby and easy for me to take at this time? Pregnant with a cold is not fun!

Sweetie, your baby will be fine as long as you continue to take in nourishment. Your baby will take from your body reserves what he/she needs. For now, due to the mucus issues, the lack of milk won't hurt. Otherwise, eat whatever you can comfortably handle sticking mostly to soft foods due to your throat: jello, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, bread (remove the crust), eggs in almost any form, mashed beans, applesauce, etc.
