I believe that the Kitty Hawk is still active based in Japan. Now that the Kennedy is out of service I think she is the only one.

The "$hitty" kitty is the only "CV" carrier still active, however it will soon be decommissioned. The JFK was decommed last week, and the Constillation was decommed in 2004. I have landed on all three carriers in the gulf during OIF.
As far as the CVN Navy, there are at least 12 and one being built (USS George Bush) and the USS Gerald Ford is in the planning stages.

Conventional means non-nuclear.
The USS John F. Kennedy was just decommissioned last week, so that's minus one.
The USS Forrestal is now the training carrier.
USS Saratoga was decommissioned in 1993
I think the USS Constelation was decomissioned in 1995
I think that leaves one, the USS America, unless she was decommissioned and I didn't hear about it.
Except for the smaller helicopter carriers, like the USS Iwo Jima, and the USS Oriskany, the US Navy carrier fleet is all nuclear, or soon to be all nuclear.

Foch is being transferred to Brazil, so there's at least one other. If we count the stovl types then there are at least three more.
