Clove oil. You can buy it at most CVS's. It is a tiny bottle that will cost you a buck or two. You apply it to the tooth, it will leave a minty taste in your mouth and numb the tooth.

Last week i had a horrible tooth ache and ended up having a root canal done Tuesday the only thing that help me was I put Anbesol exrta strength on the tooth and around the gum, took two Tylenol and two ibuprofen every 4hours and put a ice pack on my jaw. The ice pack actually numbed it good enough that it didn't hurt. Not any old ice pack get the freezy blocks that you put in a cooler they are alot colder.

The best one is to use clove directly in contact with the tooth thats painful.Have it in your mouth for a while as if it were a candy. It s the best analgesic.
