i know about probs but will it cure my driver probs for a new web cam & scanner as xp x 64 is s h i t,
sorry for the wording but can not think of any think to say about the program?

I agree. I had xp x 64 and it was a complete pile of poo!!!
I have had many OS since and now have settled with Vista Ultimate. I love it. Although I can no longer go wireless with it with my particular wireless card or use my webca. BUT you can check these things out before you install Vista. There is a program you can run from the microsoft site which will tell you what hardware will definitely work, or some that might have problems.

What's wrong with Windows XP Pro ???
Works just fine with most web cams & scanners etc that I know..
I suggest wait a few years for drivers to be sorted out (and Microsoft to issue the first 2 Service Packs) befor expecting Vista to cure all your probs.

It relies upon on the temper of microsoft. i've got heard of the two situations happening. Upgrading to vista might have invalidated your xp licenses, so examine that till now reinstalling. stable success.
