I would be using an herbal supplement or somthing of the sort. It would give you the vitamins and minerals that your body needs while suppressing your diet so you just don't eat as much, therefore losing the weight fast and efficiently, yet safely and healthy. Of course dieting didn't work. Can't diet and sit on your *** and expect to lose weight. That's how your legs got fat. Exercise. Go to a weight room do some leg extensions, leg curls, squats, leg presses. Don't do weight rooms, ride a bike. Don't have good balance, take up swimming. Can't swim, go for a walk daily. Use the stairs and stay out of elevators. Take your dog or someone else's dog for a walk.

The reason why dieting didn't work is most likely because your friend already has a healthy way of eating. You see, when you sit down for many hours your body starts loosing muscle which causes you to look fat. So all you friend has to do it stop spending time sitting and start spending time working out.

Buy a calorie counter watch.
3,500 calories burned equals one pound
Keep your food intake to 1,200
Add both numbers and you have your total calories needed to burn each day of the week.
It really doesn't take much. If you change your view on how to loose weight its alot easier when you are looking at numbers instead of miles.
I went from 168 to 127 using this plan.
Lean Cusine meals are a great source while doing this..their prepackaged meals are sooo good and they are approx. 180 to 380 per box so you can eat like 5 of them a day and still be under your intake level. Dont' forget..Water!!!

Tell him to get his.... into a weight room. In there he just needs to consistently work his legs and glutes. Some exercises would include parallel squat, hack squat, hamstring curls, legs press, there are many more, just tell your friend to ask the fitness guy in there about some leg exercises.
