Duh! Maybe because our children are lazy TV addicts who don't get enough exercise and because they eat the wrong kind of crap every day. The vast majority of obese people could simply conquer their problem with some will-power. Cut down on the food intake. Eat better food. More vegitables and fruits. Less candy and fast foods. Exercise more. In other words, just lose weight. There are some folk who have actual medical problems that cause excessive weight but they are few and far between.

The answer is multi-fauceted, and could envelope a book! Here are the highlights

- overgrowth of Candida yeast fungi in digestive tract
- little or no microflora in digestive tract
- both a result of environmental toxins, diet high in refined carbs and prescription medication
- fast food restaurants have added appetite, weight gain stimulating chemicals (intentionally) to food
-nutrient deficient diet leaves body craving nutrients (food)
(vitamins, minerals, glyconutrients, EFAs, amino acids, probiotics)
- overall toxic (heavy metals, chemicals, etc.) and out of balance state of bodies
- decreased activitiy levels (secondary)

The key to weight loss - deal with the physical first, by rebalancing the body, and if there are any emotional ties to the weight, this will have to be addressed. Sometimes being overweight feels safe.

Because adults don't get enough exercise.
Because kids are wheeled around amusement parks in rented wagons instead of walking from ride to ride - no wonder they all end up in fat man scooters when they're old.
