Try a local auction house (put reserves on items you know are worth a lot).
You could also take photos and go to antique shops (even though these are not antiques - must be over 100 yrs old) and see if any of them are interested.
Otherwise, google your area for free classifieds. We have one and also have an additional one called Cheapcycle, which is more for recycling items that you'd like to get a few bucks for.
Other than that, you'd be stuck with a yardsale or maybe visit flea markets and see if anyone there is interested in buying your stuff for their booth.

If you have enough call in collectors or antiques dealers.

In regard to the guitar, Google guitar dealers and collectors and see what you come up with.

Have you checked out the paintings on the Internet to check on pricing.

If you have more things, investigate having an auction. Contact auctioneers for collectibles, you will have to pay them a percentage, but they know who would be interested and where to advertise for customers.

We used one to sell off my Mother in laws house contents. She had tons of collectibles. They charged 15 percent (that included their advertising and the auctioneer plus cashiering.
They advertised to collectors in all surrounding states (this was in Iowa.) so we got very good attendance.

Good Luck.

Try doing a boot sale or as the Americans call them garage sale, use eBay as your tool to check the prices your charging and if that fails look up auctions that sell for you
