It is not necessary while both of you are still in love with each other and are still engaged.

By the time both of you married together then discuss it by your own selves until one of you will decide whom to be followed.

However the man should be the head of the woman and the head of a man is Jesus Christ.

Love is easy. Living with a person day to day from a different culture and religion is no small task. You really have to talk about life, dead, children, money, responsibility, family relationship and the differences between you religions. The last one is the one most overriding subject because religion in general is not compromising by nature.

Fighting for your love is an oxymoron.

No matter what you care about a person, there are things that can always get in the way. In any relationship, you have to work on bonding together so that you overcome any minor obstacles. However, sometimes issues like culture and religion can get in the way of a relationship. I don't know your situation, so I can't comment on the severity of the problem.

Though, I do think that religious superstition and blind nationalism do much harm in this world. They wreak havoc on society on both the personal level and national level.
