Though the water may seem to be coming from heaven, it is still the water that was raised up by vaporization from the waters on earth. Flood is not caused by additional water from outer space, it was the water that might have vaporized from the melting ice in the north or south pole. So, in time it goes back to settle down in cycle and produce another ice bodies where it normally have.
It is like asking, how the earth could carry such load now that tall and huge buildings are almost all around the world and number of people have grown into billions of population. All this came from the earth and most likely whether you like it or not, to maintain the the balance of life on earth, it could be wars, famine and other natural disasters that help keep the the balance. That is why there seems to have no end on the troubles around the globe since the beginning of times. Another reason the Bible have said that Satan will be tied for a thousand years only, because in peace, population may grow again tremendously and it will become necessary to reduce such numbers of population that may deplete the earth's natural resources. Do not qoute me too much on this, I am just making a wild guess. Let science of men prove this.

Before the flood, it never rained before on this eath, That is why people did not believe Noah about it is going to rain & flood the earth, Before the flood there was no Oceans, as we know Oceans, there was only SEAS, Gen. 1:10 & God call the gathering together of the waters SEAS, When the flood came God took that water vapor that circle the earth, & let the heavens open up. Thus causing the flood, & when it subsided it went down & formed the Oceans, People today is so worry about the radiation the sun puts out But little do they know God is now & will complete the process of taking the water out of the oceans & once again surround this earth as it was in the garden to protect things from the sun. Therefore in the milliennium God will slowly do away with the oceans, & once again only have seas, & lakes. Yes a sea can be big But not as big as the ocean.

The oceans.

No, I don't believe that, but that's what those who do believe say. There were no large oceans before the flood, there were seas and lakes, but earth was mostly land.

[11:44] And it was said: "O earth! Swallow up your water, and O sky! Withhold (your rain)." And the water was made to subside and the Decree (of Allâh) was fulfilled (i.e. the destruction of the people of Nûh (Noah). And it (the ship) rested on Mount Jûdî, and it was said: "Away with the people who are Zalimûn (polytheists and wrong-doing)!"

It's in the oceans. I heard the flood was responsible for breaking up Pangea.

Better question:

Where did enough water come from to cover the entire earth given there is a finite amount of water on this planet?
