When I talk to younger girls, they feel like going to The Gap at the mall! =<)

If you are 24 and you don't feel an age gap between yourself and an 18 year-old girl, you don't get it.

There is a huge age gap between jr high/high school and high school/college aged men and women. This is what drives parents crazy. Esp. the sexual experience level which is what parent go crazy about esp. with daughters.

The guy has a full time job? So what. You are in college. He is going no where. This guy is going to drag you down. Find a way to disassociate yourself. This is the best advice he can offer? That conversation with a girl six years younger is limited? For most of us in the real world, that's a no-brainer.

What were you expecting? Lose this friend and stay away from women who are not mature enough to make [legal]decisions about having a relationship with you.

Unless, of course, u want 2 do time.

It depends on the people. Do you feel like there is a gap when talking to an older guy? Maybe you misheard and what they were really saying is how, because of their age differences, they are in different stages in their lives. An 18 year old might be worrying about prom while the 24 year old is worrying about bills and finding a job (idk..these are just examples, I'm not 24 lol) But I doubt those two things would really affect conversation, after all you're also in college so
that's something you both understand right there.

PS. AdultMale's answer was really creeeepy. "fresh new bodies" ???? uhm .....

When I know there is a big difference in the age I act the other peoples age so I can feel like I'm that age. If there's a 6 year old I will muck round with them and play games with them as I'm quite energetic but with an adult or an elderly I will have a nomal conversation. Sometimes I feel the only age group I can't get along with is my own(teenagers) with the whole mood swing thing. Because half the time I don't feel like gossiping or being sarcastic or immature with them but I try and get along and I am very popular so I can't be doing too badly.

Age as nothing to do with it... it is all about how the both of you feel when together. If you guys have things in common then there shouldn't be any problem holding good conversations! And that is the key to any relationship, the conversations and having things in common with each other. I mean there could be a couple that are both 21 but if one likes to party while the other likes to go to poetry meetings then there really isn't a base for a relationship to build on.

I don't really think that age gaps exist so long as you are talking good and relevant things. One might feel the age gaps if one tries to talk things that are immoral and dirty, try to attract the attention of the girl towards sex and related things.I can give you examples of 13 year old girl talking freely to 30 and odd year old men so long as they found comfortable. In fact talking to younger girls is more fun than talking to older girls.

Some 18 yr. old girls act more mature than some 34 year old guys I know. But some act like they are 13.

Yes.Especially at work. Sometimes certain celebrities come into my place of business. For the younger ones, they have no idea who these people are. As when some of the younger celebrities from T.V shows have come in, and I have no idea who they are.
