Hi John, If someone is bad mouthing you in your work place and she hears it, yes she could stop liking you. If you are interested in this girl you need to tell her all the things being said, are not true they are just trying to make you look bad in front of her. That is what i would do if i liked her. If what they are saying isn't true than you shouldn't worry about anything, but if they are I would explain the situations to her so that way she could at least hear the truth from you instead of someone else. If you don't talk to her about it, people are going to keep feeding her all these negative thoughts about you and then you may not have a chance with her. Don't make it seem like you are hiding something...be honest and up front and I'm sure she will appreciate that from you. You never want to make it seem like you have something to hide. Good Luck!
