I would rather know the truth, regardless of what my initial stance was.

This is actually a very good question.
I believe that Atheists want to be on the side of the right like we all are. Many of them claims to be intellectuals and yet they spend a lot of time here calling people stupid and idiots and so on. I do not understand how anyone think that is right.
I believe that without God's standard of what is right and wrong we are left with human opinions about it. We all should always try to be on the side what is right. And we know what is right and what is wrong because that is what it means that we are made in the image of God.: )

It depends. It all comes down to which god is hypothetically the "real" one. If it's the Christian one or the Muslim one, then yes, I'd rather be right. I'd hate to think that horrid monster was real. But there are other religions who worship a god not nearly so harmful or disgusting.
In the end, right or wrong doesn't matter. What matters is the truth.

Of course I would rather be right than wrong, what kind of question is that. No one wants to be wrong. Did you have something in mind that I might be concerned being right about?

With over 100 million victims of religion/sectarian violence and the believers continually coerced into ignoring this holocaust, I'd rather be right.

Kind of a stupid question don't you think? Who on earth would rather be wrong than right?

I often want to be wrong. When I read about the things people claim to believe and think they're serious, I long to be wrong.

Right.
That's why I left my comfortable, respected sociable place in my church when I could no longer honestly believe what I was teaching.
I can't do the lie thing even when it would be convenient. And it was wanting to be right about Christianity which made me study it so hard in the first place.
