okay so this lady comes in to where I work and always flirts with me. I think its just in a play around way. You know, she smiles at me, stares at me a lot, laughz at my jokez even if their not funny. And she alwayz takez her time leaving the register after she has already paid. The problem, she is 26 and I'm 20. I want to ask her out but I'm afraid she'll just laugh at me because I'm too young. Do you think she'll go for it or laugh at me and the idea?

She'd love a toy boy.

Ask her out.

Age only matters to people to whom age matters. I went out with a girl 5 years older than me (and she was CONSTANTLY on about how much younger I was - part of what drove me nuts and made it difficult in the relationship) and I have also been out with a girl 7 years older than me who was very cool about it. Things went very well from that point of view.

I have been out with girls who are younger than me too. For my money, age doesn't matter too much if you are both consenting adults and have enough stuff in common.

After a certain age, the difference between two people's ages matters less... unless it's HUGE gap. It's only a 6 year difference. That's about the same as me and my fiance.

I would just make sure that your mental maturity levels match.

Most women won't mind a small age gap as long as she feels you two are on the same level. In fact, some are really flattered by it.
