Yes, because "the Blessing" isn't just "THE blessing"--it's simply taking the time out to thank God for what he's provided for you. You should do that whether you're alone or in a crowd.

I don't usually say a blessings before meals, but I find that it is very helpful to be reflective every day.

This very question indicates to me that you may feel that a major reason to say a blessing is just so others will not disapprove. That just doesn't sound right to me. Does it sound right to you?

Living with my Atheist husband, I say silent blessings before each meal. Just cause I don't say them out loud doesn't mean they are not heard, it's like prayers.
