I started taking 150mg of wellbutrin SR for about 4 weeks,
I had to stop for a while because I had some sort of allergic reation/virus and they wanted to make sure it wasnt from the medication. And I started taking it again and it has been about a week and a half.
My doctor told me that it might not work untill i have a higher dosage because they just wanted to check if I had negative side effects or something.
Whatever allergic reaction or whatnot I had before hasn't come back since I started again.
So when will it start to work? Some days I take more than one pill, I just want it to work asap D:

On average it takes approx. one month. Stopping makes a difference, especially since it never took hold initially. Be consistent with you dosages. DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN PRESCRIBED. Doing so is dangerous. Listen to your Doctor.

It generally takes about two weeks for Wellbutrin to be absorbed into your system but that's irrelevant because it depends upon ones body type and chemistry.
150 mg is an adequate dosage for efficacy depending what you're taking it for. In your case it will NEVER work effectively because you're not taking it as prescribed.
Taking your Wellbutrin inconsistently is counter-productive and harmful for your recovery. You had better make an appointment with your doctor immediately and be honest about what you've done. Furthermore, wait until you are under a doctor's care if you decide to stop taking it altogether.
Meds can make you feel better eventually, but it's your doctor's responsibility to determine what and how. If you feel your doctor is not helping, it's your right to ask for another physician- believe me, I've been there.

well first off you should be taking the medication as your doctor prescribes you to take it. Doubling up on your dose could cause problems including it taking longer to work. Once the medication level has been built back up you will start to feel better. When i started Lexapro i was told it could take up to a month for me to notice a difference (thankfully it only took a couple days) I would just relax and be patient. These kinds of pills are not a cure all sometimes you have to play with and adjust the doses.... Contact your doctor if you don't feel it is helping your symptoms accurately

for everyone it is different, and then you may not even feel it , if you are not at a level that helps. It should of really kicked in by now, so i would talk to the doctor that gave it too you, and please try to remember there are no magic pills or wand. You know medication is not always the answer, how about getting some good ole therapy, and working through your issues, so they quit bugging you, cause that is the real issure, you do not want to deal or talk about your issues.

it takes a good 3 to 4 weeks to get the full effect.

always take only the prescribed dosage. antidepressents can take up to 2 months before you feel any improvment in your mood. Your system has to get used to the drug and it reaches certain levels in your blood

I could tell a difference within a few days, my dose was 300mg a day, I had to stop taking it because it seemed to make breathing difficult.
