is there any software than can let me adjust the desktop's brightness and contrast?

i have a problem with my monitor which it still not bright enough even though i already adjusted the monitor to the maximum level of brightness and contrast.. so i would like to adjust the brightness of my monitor using the software.. is there any suitable software for that? please state the software's name.. thanks

No, this is completely a hardware function. If your monitor is not bright enough I would suggest replacing it and see if the brightness is better on another monitor.

There are certain games that you can control the brightness, but that is built into the game to make it darker or brighter on purpose. Most software, like windows, do not have that capabilities.
