If your dog's problems were caused by the tainted pet food, menufoods will pay for vet bills. Talk to your vet and contact menufoods. Here's their website.

Some of the animals affected have had vet bills of thousands of dollars. You're not the only owner out there in this position. Your vet should work with you since they've already announced they will cover all vet bills of animals affected. I wouldn't even think twice if he refuses to work with you. I would go to another vet. A refusal to give care in this situation speaks volumes.

Yeah, I wonder if the dog food manufacturers will be held responsible for causing deaths to all those animals, what about the expenses on vets and all, I would think there is a way to make them pay for this, are there any laws to protect people from this type of recalls, I wish I had the right answer for you, hope you dogs gets better.

I am not an expert in the legal department, but I can't help but wonder if they aren't somewhat responsible for your pets' bills in some way since no one voluntarily feeds their pets RAT POISON! PLZ go to the legal section to find out more!!!
I can't imagine there isn't SOMETHING set up in light of this recent discovery, to where, your vet will either be reimbursed, or they can cut you a break considering this involved some 90 brands of pet foods!
BEG, BORROW, do what you have to to save your dog right now, and sue the crap outta whomever is responsible!!!

Call your local Humane Society, often they have programs to help people that don't have the money for the vets, also they have vets that work for them, they may know of a vet that can do it for free as a tax write off, and once in a while they have free clinics.
Good Luck!

Get in touch with the dog food manufacturer, more than one of them announced today that they would be responsible for the veterinary costs of animals affected by the contamination.

I am not very familiar with animal care, but I know that dental schools will give people free or deeply discounted service. Perhaps you can find a veterinary school around you that will provide service to your dog for free or at least cheap. Good luck and take care.

Menu foods has said they will pay. It just might take a while. Tell your vet they will get paid when menu foods pays them. Or else use a credit card. I'm so sorry about your doggie. It's not fair, menu foods sucks a s s!!

Try another vet. See if you can get a lawyer to work for you on a contingency basis and sue.
