"Jews don’t need to be ‘saved’; they’re already God’s chosen people. Even the New Testament says ‘so all Israel shall be saved.’"
The gospel was first preached to the Jews. They were commanded to repent and trust the Savior (Acts 2:38), and warned that if they didn’t repent, they would perish (Luke 13:3). John the Baptist preached fearful words to those who, simply because they were Jews, thought that they need not repent. The Bible says, "Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say to you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children to Abraham. And now also the axe is laid to the root of the trees: every tree therefore which brings not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire" (Luke 3:7–9).

The Old Testament is building up to the coming of a Messiah or king who would establish a kingdom. Christians believe Jesus is this Messiah and (for now) the kingdom is a spiritual one. Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah after his crucifixion because they expected the kingdom to be a physical one established on earth.
So Christianity is not a modern extension of Judaism, in that, Christians believe the Messiah has come, and Jews are still waiting for him to come.
In the Old Testament a "high priest" went into the temple to commune with God on behalf of the people. In the New Testament Jesus establishes himself as the one and final "high priest" Therefore Christians believe Jesus is the only way to God and Heaven.
I hope that was helpful. I fear it's a very basic and lacking explanation, but I didn't want to leave a novel behind.

Christianity is the fullfillment of the Jewish religion. The Jewish religion is based on the Law and the Prophets, which Christ fulfilled. When Jesus died and rose again, the Jewish way of atoning for sin by animal sacrafice was over, and the only way to atone for sin now was to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Jews did worship the true God, but now they do not have access to him by practicing the Jewish faith, for God does not accept you unless you come to him through his Son. Jews can become Christians, infact all the early Christians were Jewish. On the contrary my friend, read your Bible more closely, Jesus does proclaim to be God. The only way to avoid hell is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, salvation is a free gift from God and is available to all who want it, especially the Jews. Jesus said it is through the Jews that salvation comes.

Why are you assuming that Hell actually exists?
If you want to do something really, really beneficial for yourself, learn to be skeptical of everything.
No one has ever been to Hell and returned to tell the story, including the people who wrote the Bible. The belief in Hell is based on very questionable interpretations of only a few vague verses in the Bible or a shameless rewriting of the Bible to insert the belief.
I hope this clears up your confusion.

Well my faith does not believe they go to hell. Catholic doctrine specifically says. . .
The relationship of the Church with the Jewish People. When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People,326 "the first to hear the Word of God."327 The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ",328 "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable."329

Jesus himself was a Jew. Most of the first Christians were Jews. Paul made a point in his missionary journeys to visit the synagogues. Christianity began as a reform movement within Judaism. It was only decades later that Christian Jews and non-Christian Jews began to separate from one another. Any conflict between the two is a family spat between elder and younger brothers.

Whoa! You messed up by saying "However according to the Bible Jesus proclaims that HE is not God, but his son."--the Bible DOES say he claimed to be God. Where else do you think Christians came up with the Trinity??
Jews rejected the Messiah. And it is not just your status that sends you to hell but its your sins. Its Jesus that forgives them.
people like Riku up above, deny that Jesus is "the" way to the father and try to preach a "dual covenant"......if thats the case (that you can get to God w/o Jesus) then why did he have to die??

God didn't stop Hitler and he died without going to hell as well. When good men do nothing evil flourishes . this is one good reason we should be personally responsible and not rely upon a fake god that can't help because god does not really exist . there is no hell except for the stupidity of mankind on earth . please realize when you disregard the lies of the bible you begin to eliminate the confusion that they create and return to using the brain that works well when utilized properly.Justice now not after the irreversible injustice or death.

Jews are held to a higher standard and probably have better benefits in Heaven if they believe, if not they probably are tormented in Hell worse. Just a hunch. So Hitler is doomed worse than anybody. Fact priests and prophets and popes are definitely held to higher standards. With greater rewards?

I'm sorry for you. Someone has filled your head with nonsense. Everything you wrote here is bull. there is not one truth in any of it.
You don't check anything out first do you? This is a very good idea if you plan to open your mouth or write things down for other people to comment on.
Try doing a little homework, then be excited at what you have learned and share it with others. You will be amazed how intelligent you will appear to them.><>
