I'm having trouble with my computer, it's just too slow and it's getting blocked at any moment, it's just freaking me out!!!

I dont know if it can be a virus. I have the Norton antivirus 2005 and Windows Defender for the spyware and the firewall, but when I scan or examine the computer it says it's fine!!!
I dont even have half of the computer hard disk capacity so full, so I dont know what's happening.

Ohh, and I still have the Macafee security center installed even though it's not working because it's out of subscription, but I havent taken the time to erase it...Do you think this could be bad for the functioning of the other antivirus??? To ahve them both installed, even though one of them is not working??

Anyway, I just tried to describe to you what I have in the computer...but I dont know what could be causing this...please I need help, this is killing me, I just bought this computer in october last year and now it's just killing me!!

Hola chica!

El Norton borralo, erase it, delete it!

I appreciate your efforts in at least trying to describe the problem. I will share some simple things to do that may help or at least give you an idea why it is slowing down.
1. Start, control panel , add remove programs.
Get rid of anything your not using but leave the updates and hotfixes there.
2. Start, control panel, internet options. On the general tab, delete temporary internet files. Doing this first makes the next step faster.
3. Double click the my computer icon, right click on your hard drive, select properties and disk cleanup. Put a check in all the boxes.
4. After it is done, restart windows, then.
5. Double click the my computer icon, right click on your hard drive, select properties, on the tools tab select defragment drive.
6. After is is done, restart windows again, then
7. Right click anywhere on the start bar that is clear, select task manager. On the processes tab, you will see a list of what is currently running on your system. XP normally has anywhere from 30 to 60 processes running. The system idle process should be no lower than 90% when you haven't opened any programs.
8. If this helps and you'd like to learn a few more things, send me an E and I will share a few utlities I have to help, including instructions.
If you decide to do this, make the process list window large enough to get them all, press printscreen, open paint and paste it into it. Save it and send it attached to the E. This will help me see what's going on.

You NEVER run two virus software programs together they fight each other, first, go to start control panel and remove Macaffee anti virus, next uninstall Norton antivrus make sure you have your sub scription key first, then go to Norton home page and download the Norton anti-virus removal tool and run it, after running it do disk cleanup, delete all cookies, offline files and all old compressed files, after you do this then derangement the drive, check your disk space if it is OK if not go to www.popup eliminator and download their Free 30 day trail software for bugs, run it and delete the bugs it finds then one more time defrag and install Norton and run update again, run scan and that should help you get rid of the problem, you could use go back but you need to get rid of the two virus definitions on the computer it slows you way down.

Please uninstall Mcafee first. Two anti virus on one conflicts & make your system slow & unstable. Mcafee is still working on your system simply you have not updated it sdat releases. Sdat are newly found virus defination.
Do the following thing on your pc regularly.
First of allTo increase your virtual memory, to do that open control panel double click system foldes on opening page click advanced than chek before Adjust for best performance. than click advanced in coming window you will find virtual memory click setting. Select drive on where you want your virtual memory to be. then click custom and change the file size by typing your initial size, it should be 1024 MB at least & max size should be not less than 2048 MB.
1. Search for temp files( In search box type *.tmp) click search. Delete all files that appears after search.
2. Than as above type *.log & do the same.
3. Search Temp folder Delete all it's content.
4. Search Temprory Internet Files & delete it's content.
5. Run updated Antivirus & Anti spyware.
6. Run disk cleanup from system tools in accessories.
7. Than defragment your drives twice from system tools Defrag.
8. From run type msconfig > enter > click on startup un check all checked field except of antivirus & anti spyware. Choose & click services, Check beside hide all MS Services. In remaining list uncheck all except Anti virus & Anti spyware services click apply click ok you will asked to restart click restart. You are almost done.
This will make your system considerably faster but one very essential action has to be taken and that is cleaning Registry which is the main reason of sluggis system. Dowload
WIN XP Manager or tuneup utilities install & clean. Try with win xp manager,s 1 click cleaner. You can download it from
www.softarchive.net. It requires dotnet fx so you will have to download it also. First you will have to install dotnet fx. It is free & you can get it from site of microsoft. Your PC will become as fast as it was when new or a bit better. Clean registry daily & all other oprations stated above fortnightly.

Let me tell you that having two antivirus installed at one time is higly not recommended. Actually what happens is that these antivir are auto protecting your system all the time. So please uninstall one. Secondly

get hold of a good registry cleaner that will remove all crap from the registry.

Try to remove all the unnecessary programs that are running. I dont think you have any sort of virus in your computer.

If i was in your place i would try to recover all my data and siply reinstall windows. It takes time but its the best solution.

You need to go to control panel and add and remove programs and get the old Norton removed. Next run disk clean up and the scan disk. This should help. Good luck.

To completely uninstall mcafee go here and use the removel tool.

Also, Norton will slow down your PC because it uses a lot of resources from your PC and constantly runs in the background.

Suerte*
