Petals doesn't damage them , just brings a pair upstairs every night, Cats do have complex character traits, she is a sweet kitty who talks all the time, thanks for all the good answers

my cat will pull my jacket off the back of my computer chair and lay on it all night til i go to bed then he jumps in bed with me gets as close as he can and falls asleep. i know it is our sent they are after. a feeling that we are near if we are not. my one friend who my cat adores left one of her shirts at my house on my couch and my cat will lay on that as well. hope all these answers everyone is giving helps.

cats are habitual creatures. They do some same things every day. For instance my cat Weezer comes downstairs every night around 7 and goes into the laundry room. She comes back out a minute or 2 later. It's like she's patrolling that area once each evening. Perhaps your kitty explored the basement one day and had so much fun he or she does it as part of her daily routine.

When I get home from work I usually find a pair of my grammy looking underwear on the floor in my living room, and my chubby kitty rolling around on them.

I kept finding baby clothes in my yard every morning. I was totally freaked out because I couldn't figure out how they got there. I finally caught my cat bringing home clothes from the neighbors garage. (they were getting ready for a yard sale) Needless to say, I think it is totally normal now. Put your socks in a hamper with a lid if you don't want her to ruin them.

its either the material they are made of or the smell, my cat does the same thing, loves them socks, come to think of it, my dog does too.

they have your smell on them, our cat still's the winter gloves out of coat pockets

It likes the scent of you on them. My brother dogs would take his underwear and sleep with them, after that they gave him a towel that had his scent on it.

my kitten loves socks too but i bought these little pom pom balls at the pet store now there her favorit toys. she dont wanna play with nothing else but them. she even carrys them all around the house in her mouth.
