my cat will pull my jacket off the back of my computer chair and lay on it all night til i go to bed then he jumps in bed with me gets as close as he can and falls asleep. i know it is our sent they are after. a feeling that we are near if we are not. my one friend who my cat adores left one of her shirts at my house on my couch and my cat will lay on that as well. hope all these answers everyone is giving helps.

cats are habitual creatures. They do some same things every day. For instance my cat Weezer comes downstairs every night around 7 and goes into the laundry room. She comes back out a minute or 2 later. It's like she's patrolling that area once each evening. Perhaps your kitty explored the basement one day and had so much fun he or she does it as part of her daily routine.

I kept finding baby clothes in my yard every morning. I was totally freaked out because I couldn't figure out how they got there. my kitten loves socks too but i bought these little pom pom balls at the pet store now there her favorit toys. she dont wanna play with nothing else but them. she even carrys them all around the house in her mouth.
