Does God really exist? Or was it made up by humans themselves?

I am not trying to defy God, but merely questioning his existence. In the olden days, people used the existence of God to gain support and control over there fellow citizens. Rulers used to make up stories, claimed to be the 'son' of God and had special abilities. This method was used to fool people and it got so convincing that they appointed him as King. Is that the reason how God came to exist? Are the existence of various religions caused by different rulers using different 'stories'? Or does God really, truly exist? To anyone who wants to voice out their opinion on this matter or has the 'answer' please do so..

People invented gods to explain things that hadn't yet been explained by science.

Now that science has explained pretty much everything but death; Christians have one remaining god and are incredibly obsessed with death.

Sorry you are so easily fooled into a defensive stance by the almighty oz but it was made up so use your head you've got the true story to begin with just think about it stand back and look at the big picture ....first there was no god then some primitives (out of work cause they didn't have Geico ) started saying that fire was the fire god and the wind the wind god not the one when you break gas that would have been the wind devil oh well you get the picture how could this evolution of religious thought have developed if the idea were not man made and the first theist system was of course the sun god sol . and when you look around and see the mess of the natural world you know it was not intelligent design but a natural occurrence transpiring over billions of years .think about it for a year or two then ask again . it's not always an easy or quick concept to come to terms with and deserves more than a few minutes of some one elses previously conceived and contrived ideas.

Actually, your perception of the "olden days" is neither entirely correct nor entirely universal.

We can only speculate as to the reason for the emergent, nearly universal belief in "gods". That it has carried on thoughout the existence of mankind is evidence that it fulfills some need.

Some rulers claimed to be gods, but this was far from universal. Some claimed to speak for god, but this too is not always true. Even the Pope claims authority only under specific circumstances.

Gods may or may not be real, but we have no objective way to know how they came to be worshiped, nor to determine if they are real or not.

Yes God and Jesus do exist. The human body is a clear example if you study it at its molecular level and how it all works together it is far more complicated than anything. Plus science is mathmatical and you need a "mind" for lack of a better word to create science otherwise there would be no rhyme or reason to how the world works. But unfortunately you cannot prove without a doubt that God exists or for that matter evolution because no one was there to check for accuracy that we can compare to. It is all a matter of faith.
But if God has worked in your life then that is the proof to you. No one can prove God exists, but God works on your heart.

Creator is the positive energy that has been diluted by man and man only, for Creator has many faces all through time that have been carved to fit the needs of man's attempts to control that which cannot be controlled. That's the make or break point for all trackers of Creator's way that either tracks for their own gains rather then their true path to regain what is lost and that is the path full circle to the home of all that truly know they are of the creation of Creator. That's the tie breaker it's up to the people that are of Creator not the people that cannot see why they walk down this path. Knowledge first and then the level of wisdom that defines ones truths about his time here and his time in the eternal. Beyond the truth of knowledge and wisdom are the reasons why many Spirit's follow blindly the stories of Creator's Quests that confuse one enough to allow one to become lost. All through time stories of Creator have created loop holes that deny ones ability to see beyond the illusions created to control that which destroys a thinking mind. You ever hear that phrase that a man is so smart that he becomes stupid; well now that you understand don't let it destroy your truths before their found. Therefore man either makes or breaks his truthful connection of why we are here and why the reason of why all that we have to endure. The ability to think beyond this illusionary dimension has denied man his understanding of the eternal. The body lay's down and rots until nature eats what’s left. After that the spirit of the person that is of the energy of Creator that is a very powerful eternal tool speaks up for Creator in honor or dishonor as the way the journey was lived. That’s the tool that speaks of what the Spirit knows, other words you live or die along the way while knowing what you find as your answer to that which waits to be found. The truth is that one does not know until one finds what waits and that which waits to be found is only known after what is learned after finding wisdom that interrupts the journey to follow. That’s the reason for eternity it takes a long while to decipher the right turns that leads one through eternity.

Do you really exist i mean some machine could have put it on there so you might not be a real human i sure can't see you some scientist could have made you. so how can i know if you exist. okay lets say your a real human now your sitting on a chair does the chair have a creator? or did it just appear for you to sit? If something as simple as a chair has to have had a creator how can something as complex as a human being not have a creator and just apear out of nowhere.

if the question "does GOD exist"? comes from your heart, then this is my answer for you...ask HIM. go somewhere where you will not be disturbed, and ask HIM from your heart. because the truth of the matter is GOD only reveals HIMSELF to those who seek HIM with all their heart, soul and mind. once HE reveals HIMSELF to you, begin reading the KJV bibe and start in Genesis and read straight through to Revelation, then start over. dont try to read it in a year, or set time frames...just read it asking GOD to teach you as HE prepares you. read daily. GOD does exist, but HIS children are the only ones that have undoubtable proof, proof that nobody will believe for GOD has given all others a strong delusion to believe a lie, lest the find the door and HE must save them. it isnt right that those who reject GOD and are filled with all manner of wickedness and hate be allowed the same peace and rest as those who worshipped and loved and obeyed HIM, not to mention that GOD and sin cannot coexist in the same place.
