Ray Mercer was a very under rated fighter, look at his fight with L Louis, The man could not be hurt, Tyson got disgouraged if the fight went into the latter rounds, This is real a pick em fight. I think Ray Mercer's chin would have been the difference here though, Ray Mercer by late round tko

I have never been a big Tyson fan, but assuming Mike was really as dominant as his early record implys, Ray Mercers chin would have been seriously tested. Mercer was never the most defensive of fighters and if the Iron in Mike's early punches was real and not the result of outside influence, I think Mike would have KOed Mercer along with the rest.

The only reason that Mercer brutally beat Morrison is because of the retarded ref not stopping the fight when he clearly couldn't even hold his hands up. Other than that, it was an average KO. In Tyson's prime, he was just too quick and strong for just about any fighter in history.

Hell no. I still think Ray Mercer had the baddest knockout I have ever seen. He knocked Tommie Morrison out on the ropes and every time Gunn was falling, Mercer cracked him with enough to keep him up and into the ropes. He must have landed 6-7 HUGE punches while Gunn was Dreaming already. Brutal...

I was at the garden when Mercer fought Lewis. Lewis lost that fight to Ray, but got the descision anyway. My answer is Ray could have beaten Tyson if he fought him when lennox fought him. He wouldnt have been able to beat Mike when he was at his best.
