I love how the cons just spout off "LIBS!" Please. They forget that each war we "lost" were during Republican administrations. Honestly, this is a question that requires a load of studying a research to get the answers you want, if that is what you want. Do some history reading. I don't do enough myself honestly, and should.

Could be we live in a instant gratification nation that if something can't be done in days or weeks - we lose interest.
Let be honest the Middle East and Asia are used to waiting years, decades or centuries to get what they want.
They just sit back and wait us out - sooner or later someone will figure out it takes to long to win and we are tired of waiting so why even bother in the first place.
At times it seems easier to just throw in the towel .... that what happened in Korea then Vietnam and now Iraq so ............Iran has nothing to fear and they know it.
We get around saying we lost a war by making Korea a conflict , Vietnam wasn't a war it was an era and give the historians time Iraq will be a ...... mission or quest or some other BS term-- anything but a war.

We havent even exploited our nuclear arsenals yet. You have all of these arab/islamic dictators and crazies spewing all of this hate, they are playing a game, hoping to get us to fight them, trying to get us to hit them first, sadly it wont happen. I think the time will come when it may happen, just not yet.
For the record we never lost in Korea, to this day the objective was to stop the spread of communism and it stopped at the 38th parallel, which is heavily guarded to this day. That was also a U.N action, not a war. Vietnam war wasnt lost, and we never lost a battle. I dont know where you got your information from but it was the national politics here at home that had us withdraw from Vietnam. We were annhilating the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army everytime we met.
We arent losing the Iraq war either, for every 500 iraqi's dying, one american is dying, they are serving their country and not losing a thing. We have more control of the situation than the media lets on. We are also in it for the long haul, its just a shame that the national military and police forces we train and put into commission cant be trusted, or the country would be in great shape, imagine, these dumb shytes and sunni's cant get along.
Eventually they'll kill each other off.

We won Korea? Notice that the South is still an Independent government and we stopped the North from taking them over, that was the American Objective. Vietnam was just a hell hole, we won miliatial wise but the Democrat blew it. And Iraq isnt lost, we did our job and we need to pull out. We won the War against Saddams regime, and we dont need to get involved in their inevitable Civil War.

First off you have to tell me what constitutes as "losing" a war. Ppl will tell you that we "lost" these wars when in reality all we did was pull our troops out b/c the Democrats and liberals of our nation somehow convinced us to. The Koreans and Vietnamese (and Iraqi's today) lost WAY more soldiers than America did in all of those wars but the only reason we pulled out is b/c we were held back by the gutless bastards known as liberals. In WW2 we kicked *** b/c we kept all options opened, and when it came down to it we bombed Japans *** and killed hundreds of thousands, but sometime in between all that and now we have lost our "balls" so to speak and we let the liberals tell us what to do a little to much. Now we could never drop an A bomb on anyone (hence the reason we invaded in all 3 of these wars instead of just ending it in one big explosion).
A Korean general went on record to even admit that they did not beat us in any war but we beat ourselves b/c they knew all they had to do is keep fighting but the ppl back in America would continue to protest until our govt didnt have a choice but to pull out, which would give the Koreans the "moral" victory and would demoralize the Americans. That has been the strategy of every single nation (or group in this case) that has tried to fight us since, all they have to do is "outlast" the US now and eventually our own ppl will turn against our military and give us no choice but to pull out. I agree that the USA is becoming weaker and weaker and look no further than the Democrats and liberals, they have brought this upon the USA by all their anti war strategy and protesting and not wanting to stand up for their own country when it is needed. I dont think we are "losing" the Iraq war by any means, but then again if you watch any news broadcast (other than Fox) it is so liberal that it will claim we are losing regardless of whats really happening over there. So far in this war we have lost around 3800 soldiers while we have killed over 50-75000 terrorists. You tell me whose winning and whose losing. Its not that America is weak, its that we are being held back b/c we are listening and paying way to much attn to the weak bastards that are so anti war they dont even want to defend their own country.

The US might have lost 3 wars, but we've never been defeated like the P.O.S. country I'm sure you come from. Iraq is a win and a loss. A win for the US military, a loss for the Iraqi people and the 2nd phase of the US war. Iran/Iraq/Syria/Jordan/Afghanistan/Saudi Arabia will never beat us or any other civilized nation in a war.

we may not call these things 'wins' but we were ahead on the scorecard before we stepped out. Our ability to step in and out shows it was never a matter of oursecurity to begin with. We're undisputed in a slug fest and we've only had a few of those, like tyson can kill a man but holyfield showed some finesse, we've won on finesse in our younger days, we hid in the trees and drove the british out.
We havn't lost, we're still here, we don't speak german or arabic. We havn't had to make concessions or hand over territory that was ours.

The Iraq war is unwinnable for the United States because there was and is no real meaning to the war. The objectives were ludicrous, indicative of a delirious administration and an equally ignorant public who backed them.
How could anyone "win"? Because of the defined objectives, the only way the "war" could have been won was by winning the people over to their side. The USA went about doing that by bombing them and quite predictably, it didn't work.

Korea was not a US only war., it was a United Nations one and it wasn't lost. it was a draw.
Oct 1983 was the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beriut. That had nothing to do with any war, we were at peace at the time.
Learn your history, bubba.

I THERE NEED TO TEACH THE NEW GENERATION OF AMERICA TO BE STRONGER AND WISHER SO WHEN IT IS THEIR CALL TO WAR . HEY WHERE IS TERMINATOR AND ROCKY WHEN YOU NEED THEM. OR AMERICA WILL FACE MAJOR FAILURE. THESE KIDS OF OURS IN AMERICA WELL SOME ARE NOT PROUD OF LIVING IN A COUNTRY WHERE FREEDOM IS ONLY BEING Reach BY THE OUTSIDERS. I've HEARD AND STILL HEAR STORIES OF IMMIGRANTS WORKING SO HARD IN THEIR COUNTRY EVEN CHILDREN TO MAKE IT THROUGH LIFE. AND OUR CHILDREN TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED AS IF THERE WAS NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD DROPPING OUT OF SCHOOL TAKING DRUGS HAVING BABIES AT A YOUNG AGE joining gangs . I think back one hundreds even two hundred years how people care and work to make this country that we call AMERICA the best place to live due to their hard work and it seems as in another few years it will be taken from our hands. let's pray people that it does not happened .

Very simple. The first two we "lost" due to politicians and public sentiment and stupidity, and we can easily lose the third one you name if we allow the newly elected democrats sell our military down the drain, including Nancy Pelosi and her attempt to steal political power on the international scene from our Commander-in-Chief by her planned visit to Syria. Three time's a charm, I guess, but it sure is treasonous, the likes of which Jane Fonda and Bill Clinton are very familiar with. God Bless you.
