WOW are you my daughter. She goes to a Christian school and she is always telling me other kids say worse. Did you ever think that the teachers know that you are so much brighter and better than what you said. Take your detention and be thankful that you are still on their radar. Be thankful you get to go to school where you do and think before you speak. Wow, I just had this conversation Friday with my daughter. Good Luck.

Hate to tell you--but you were the one that got caught. There are consequences for your actions and regardless of whether or not others got caught doing something "worse" you got caught doing what you did. Accept the responsibility--and quit whining about it not being fair. Life isn't always fair--so you have learned a big lesson. If you don't want to get in trouble in the future, stop doing what you are doing and then you won't have to be in detention in the first place.

If your teacher wasn't upset about it then they should have stepped up and said something to the other teachers. It is better to try to not say things that might get you in trouble though. I'm sure if the teachers over heard the other kids saying things they would get in trouble too. You just happened to get caught.

At Christian schools they expect you to follow in the footsteps of the Lord Jesus. They probably just thought you were always so good before, that this wasn't your type and wanted to make sure that you didn't turn into one of the bad kids because you really aren't. I am sure that you are a wonderful Christian and hope that you do follow the Lord's footsteps throughout your life and teach others the will power that He has. Amen bruthah

Not really. Unfortunately, life is never fair. The most you can do is take responsibility for your actions and set a good example for the other kids by not saying bad things. You can't control what they do and what they get away with. The only person you have control over is yourself, and you might as well take advantage of that.

I don't know what you said so I can't be sure what is fair or not. What other kids did or did not do isn't the point.
If one kid shoots another are you going to stab the shooter with a knife and say "well he used a gun, and that's much worse than a knife!"

Big deal...Just get over it ....Its not like your life is ruines. And like you all know teachers are picky. It's her fault for giving you a detention. Teachers punish not because the kids deserve it, they punish for confidence and respect. Its just a detention. Life isnt over

Ok. Rule #1: Life isn't fair. Once you get that one down, you'll do fine in life. You broke a rule, you pay the consequences. You were the one who got caught.
