The Nikon FM10 is a light weight camera made by Cosina for Nikon. The meter should work well and I am sure it can take good pictures, but it is probably not the best choice if you want a rugged long lasting film camera. The FM10 was at the bottom of the Nikon line, when Nikon was actively making film cameras. (Most Nikon film cameras have been discontinued.).

Used Film cameras have gotten very cheap. If you want a Nikon manual focus film camera, I suggest you look for a Nikon F3 (The F3 was Nikon's last top of the line film camera) - Also consider a used Nikon FM, FM2 or FE if you can find one.

Another Nikon film camera that you can often find in good shape used for a very low price is the N70. I have seen nice looking Nikon N70s being sold for as little as $100 without a lens. The N70 is designed to use autofocus lenses - but it can also use almost any Nikon Manual focus lens with full metering. It takes awhile to get used to the user interface on this camera, but it is very solid . The N90 and N100 are also excellent cameras, although they don't have a built in flash. Some models built after the N70, such as the N80, will not meter properly with non auto focus lenses.

Branded Nikon, built by Cosina. Nikon is only carrying 2 film cameras, the F6, their flagship camera, and the FM10, a manual camera. Not saying it's a bad camera, but it certainly isn't as robust as the manual F cameras that are its predecessors. Functionally, it should perform well.

This is a high end 35mm. If you want to deal with film, it's a good deal.
If I were going to spend that much money, I would get a 8mp or better digital SLR, and a 35 to 150mm lens, interchangeable, in case I want a bigger lens later. Be sure you get macro lenses. Also, SD card capable.

fhotoace has given you a good answer. I would just add that the price is right in the ballpark with most other sellers. It's listed on Amazon, but I see it is actually being sold by Adorama and they are a very reputable seller.
