Your radio is mis-wired. The yellow wire needs to be connected to a source of constant voltage, that doesn't switch off with the key. The red wire connects to a key-switched voltage source. You either have them reversed, or both are connected to switched voltage.

You need to make sure that the yellow wire still has 12v with the car's ignition switch off. If it does not find a circuit that does. You'll need a voltmeter to do this.

it sounds like the memory power wire is not hooked up correctly, check your connection's again and make sure it is hooked in to a constant power port in the fuse box or such.

you've hooked it up wrong......the red goes to a 12v power and yellow memory, and you have another wire for illumination

TRY HOOKING UP YOU MEMORY WIRE(YELLOW) WITH YOUR POWER WIRE (RED) IF THAT DONT WORK TAKE YOUR RADIO BACK WHERE YOU GOT IT FROM.
