Politicians in the US are indebted to their political party. They go into office with good intentions. But, if they want support from the party (such as advertisements, endorsements, etc.) they have to vote the party line.

Politician learned a long time ago the US has about a 6 months memmory span & that the masses want to be bought off.

Father Bush discovered Republicans remember longer.

i do agree that the government is very corrupt and a lot of bad stuff goes on, but i think there are probably many more good things going on, we just don't hear about them because that's not what the media wants to talk about it. it's not as interesting as death and destruction... *sigh*

btw, if you compare our country to others, our poor aren't as poor as other countries (hell, our poor own a microwave!). unemployment was down recently to much lower than it ever has been... so like i said, i think there are lots of good things, we just don't hear about them.

Because they never believe what they promise , and they talk pretty good because someone is always on their back with a speech
