Dress up that much for church?? I'm always in khaki pants and a decent shirt. When I worked 3rd shift I'd actually go to church in my scrubs, no one said a word to me about it. There is no dress code in the bible. Besides I sing in the choir I wear a robe over what I'm wearing anyway. I only stand at certain times during the service (basically singing). And yes I do listen to what is being said. When I was younger it was punishment( I was catholic then) but now I actually look forward to going to church every Sunday.

I'm guesing you haven't been to church in a while or ever? Try going to a contemporary church. Most evangical churches now days are nothing like what your discribing. We don't care what you wear...our music is contemporay...the preachers are interesting and the church service is fun and enviting. How about this Sunday you check out your local Assembly of God church...prove me wrong

I wear jeans and a sweatshirt to church. We only stand at the beginning to sing worship songs and once at the end to sing a final worship song. No up and down at my church, and they really don't care what you wear as long as it is with in biblical reason. Oh, yeah, people listen at my church as well. The messages are well delivered and easy to understand and not at all boring!

Gee...somebody had a bad church experience. I know all the people in my church, dress to attend like I do for any other day of the week, and listen to what the minister is saying. Hmmm....odd perspective you have. Must have been one bad church service you attended!!

first of all you don't have to dress up to go to Church the Bible says "come as you are" and if you are a christian you should love going to church its a place of worship
and a place for people to hear the Word of God preached

I'm a christian and I don't know what you're talking about. It's a fallacy of reasoning to take what you see in a small group and generalize it about all Christians.
