If you believe a book and what you call a prophet, says, then where do you draw the line. Also, if you say you should have faith, why must your faith effect other peoples reations, by telling them where they are going to go when they die. And, i can see heaven but how can you have faith in a terrible place like hell. That means you truely want people to die, burn, and suffer for ever and ever while your living it up in paradise.

Q:How do you know there is a heaven or hell, if you have never been there before?

A: because the infallible catholic church says so.

Q: Also, if you say you should have faith, why must your faith effect other peoples reations, by telling them where they are going to go when they die.

A: i would submit that none of us (except God) are qualified to tell another where they are going to spend eternity.

Q: And, i can see heaven but how can you have faith in a terrible place like hell. That means you truely want people to die, burn, and suffer for ever and ever while your living it up in paradise.

A: no it does not mean that. as a matter of comparison, if i were to warn someone about the danger of playing with matches, that wouldnt automatically mean that i WANT them to burn themselves.

As for the existence of hell, since heaven is only for the just, hell MUST exist for the unjust.

I do not beleive that. It is not a Biblical teaching that people will burn in hell. Rather the Bible says For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.- Romans 6:23 The penalty for sin is death. The was the case from the beginning when God told Adam that if he was disobedient and ate from a certain tree he would "positively die" Gensis 2:17

I think most Christians would agree with me, that we do not want people to burn in hell, however it's not up to us to decide. We know that heaven and hell exist because we have faith in our religion...why would we live a christian life if we did not truly believe in it??? You say that we "truly want people to die, burn, and suffer forever"...that statement couldn't be further than the truth. That is very insulting to someone like me, who happens to be very compassionate. You should try to study Christianity a little bit, it's hard to comment on something when you don't know much about it.

Why doesn't anyone believe in absolutes anymore? I believe what God says and He clearly says that there is a heaven and there is a hell. God and His Word are the absolutes and He defines and relates Truth. The "line" is drawn by "thus saith the Lord God" and I choose to believe what He says. Whether I believe or not will not alter God or His Word - it will still be there when I die ---- heaven or hell ---- we all must choose one or the other.

Your drawing some warped conclusions my friend. Christians I know don't comdemn people to Hell, we don't have the authority. I don't worry much about Hell, I don't plan to be there. I would rather share about Christ's love. As far as how I know... I've never seen the planet pluto with my own eyes, but I'm pretty sure it's there. I've never seen the Eifel Tower in Paris but I trust it's there. We take the little evidence we have and add our faith, that's how we as Christians are confident we know the truth.

My grandmother had near-death experience and she told of a guide who took her to somewhere there is light and happiness. Then she saw her parents in a wide open space with huts, and her father told her they are waiting for Judgment Day. On the way back, she passed by a really tall fence, and her guide boosted her up to see what's beyond. She saw darkness and heard babies crying.
What's important is we do good to our fellow people, since the happiness we create in them is also like heaven for us. If we do bad, then the pain we create is also like hell.

Trust me there are plenty of people in the world (like myself)who believe hell is fiction. I think hell was made up in order to keep people from sinning. I think that if people are really horrible they won't go to hell...they'll just die and not go to heaven.

I believe in the Bible record. Hell and heaven are very real places. Stay so far away from hell as possible. I love my Lord and I want to be with Him forever, here and after. : )

Have you ever been to Latvia? No? how do you it is there? Sorry, just using the same child like logic. Faith is the belief in things hoped for, the evidence of which is not seen.
