The Holy Spirit is in the first of Genesis. His Spirit (in the form of a bird) hovered over the water. (The egg came first.)

When Jesus was water baptized, the Holy Spirit came in the form of a dove & the Fathers voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son in whom I Am well pleased, hear Him."

LORD God (Elohim) is Father, Word & Holy Spirit.

We are born of His Spirit (Holy Spirit), sealed unto redemption day. The Holy Spirit is the phone line to God (El)the Father & God (El) the Son of the Kingdom of Heaven. You cannot see the Kingdom of Heaven with out being born of His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit. Holy means pure, set apart.

the Bible says that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a Person, a Being with a mind, emotions, and a will.

The fact that the Holy Spirit is God is clearly seen in many Scriptures including Acts 5:3-4. In this verse Peter confronts Ananias as to why he had lied to the Holy Spirit and tells him that he had “not lied to men but to God.” It is a clear declaration that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. We can also know that the Holy Spirit is God because He possesses the attributes or characteristics of God. For example, the fact that the Holy Spirit is omnipresent is seen in Psalm 139:7-8, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.” Then in 1 Corinthians 2:10, we see the characteristic of omniscience in the Holy Spirit. “But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”

He is God's spirit. It is holy because it is God. He isnt a "character" in the bible. He is no idea but trully a being, part of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. Three persons in one God. Don't bother trying to understand this. This can only be accepted by faith. If you trully believe, no explanation is necessary. If you don't believe, no explanation is possible.

The holy spirit is part of the holy trinity, 3 persons who make up one God. A tough idea for us to get our minds around but true. God the father....(God almighty) God the son...(Jesus) God the holy spirit...(who dwells inside of each believer and works as a teacher and guide). All 3 are persons.

The Holy Spirit is the awesome power, person, and might of God, proceeding from the God the Father and the Son, anywhere, and any time they choose.

The Spirit is holy because he is truly God.

The Spirit is known in the masculine sense, because that is how he has been revealed to us.

One important thing about the Holy Spirit is that He is a who and not a what.

It is The Spirit of God. God is not a 'character', He is The Creator. Not the idea of, but the actuality of The Creator. He and His Spirit are called 'holy' because He is divine, complete, worthy of praise - awesome, the total, The Great I AM, able to know, see, do all things. 'whole'
He is referred to as 'HE' because he/she is just not a reasonable reference. He is neither male nor female.
