Rather it's other Christians, pagans,Jews, Muslims. Why can't they stay out of people personal lives? It's nobody business what I do in my personal life, what I believe, who I love, and who I want to marry. It seems like Christians want to keep people from being happy unless they live exactly like them. They want to control every aspect of a person's life. They wanna pass laws that keep people from living their life the way they see fit. Christianity seems to be more of a slavery than freedom cause your not allowed to be unique or different or choose what you think is best for your life. They as a whole think they know whats best for everyone on the planet that they can't just leave people alone. Let people live and die the way they want to. Than the world won't see as the meddling fools you are.

Ok 2 things: This is an online forum I have never and would never ask for "advice" from people online. Ya'll are too crazy for that. What does your Bible saying about a "blind man leading a blind man? lol Hell would freeze over before I would ask for advice. Secondly, if you don't like me questions than don't read them. I am tired of hateful degrading answers. GROW UP! Stop acting like children!

Freedom of Speech is not hate crimes against humanity cause you disagree. Freedom of Speech is not calling someone an abomination and trying to kill them. Freedom of Speech is not spreading lies about a certain group. There are limitations to what Free speech protects. There is also a couple ones you missed including the Right to Privacy and the Right to not to be discriminated against cause your a minority. Christians violate those laws.

Christianity is, by its very nature, a proselytizing religion, like Islam. Judaism has more class than that.
No advocate of Judaism, or any Roman Catholic, or any Anglican, has ever yet come to my door to try to "save" me. Pushing religion is limited to nuisances such as fundies, Mormons, and Scientologists. So tacky.

I respect other people and the beliefs they have. I may not agree with them but they do have that right to worship how they want. That was part of the reason this country was settled. To escape religious persecution.
If you ask a question pertaining to the Bible, or how to deal with a specific whatever, then do not be angry when presented with answers you may not care for. After all, it is our right as Christians to voice our opinion as well.
So friend, be careful what you ask. People in general will always offer advice whether you want it or not. Can't stop that. You can limit the responses by asking more pointed and specific questions though. Good luck.

Well....There are many countries where you are really not allowed to live your own life. Christians have their voice in the world (a very strong one) and as long as they are in countries with freedom of speech they have as much right to express them as anyone else does. As meddling as their opinions might be =). Just think though "Stick and stones might break my bones but words will never hurt me" =). I do agree however that once laws that retrict people's rights start passing something must be done.

ok, I'm not sure what your question is, but there is a small line in the bible that states 'go forth and make disciples of all men'. unfortunately many people have taken this literally. Most religions beleive that you cannot truly be saved unless you convert to their specific rites. It's just ironic that Judaism, Islam, Hindus, and Christians all beleive in a God. It's just the fine print that's different.
since wars are fought over religion I don't think religious zealouts will be leaving you alone anytime soon!

Maybe you've run into the wrong sort of Christians.
I apologize if anyone's ever forced anything on you before. Christians are called to spread the Gospel, with care not force.
We also have limits and boundaries for a reason. If things aren't kept in moderation than we become slaves to items and pleasures, it really isn't fun. Instead maybe drink a little less, or abstain from sex until marriage so you can see and experience the life that God created humans are for. The culture nowadays puts people at such a low level, almost as if all we can do is drink and party (personally I believe that those are the minority). We're called to be PERFECT like our Heavenly Father. As sinful creatures, its not possible, but if we try than we'll experience so much.

Intolerance can occur when you begin to think of people as groups. You probably know some Christians that aren't pushy, and for that reason you don't know their beliefs or have forgotten.
People can be rude, bossy, insensitive, and obnoxious...but if you love them and treat them with respect, and listen politely when you have the time, and stick with what you know is right, you will gain the respect from those who matter.

Ok I agree with you completely. I only see people going around trying to preach their Christian views onto others. I rarely, if ever, have seen anyone else of a different faith doing that. Its really annoying. Everyone has their own beliefs and its sad if you want to go around changing that.

"Why can't christians just leave other people alone that have different beliefs?"
the thing that I have to constantly remind myself of is the fact that those that are the most annoying, the most filled with the zealotry of their beliefs, the ones that missionize the most are doing it because they actually believe in their religion
they actually believe that those that don't believe in the dead god are going to go to an eternal damnation, and because they are actually good people they don't want that to happen to others...
so...when I get to the point where I want to slap someone upside the head for not leaving me alone about jesus and such I just tell myself over and over again that it's because they actually care and are worried about me and not because they want to be smacked upside the head like I am feeling it

people like to think they are right about everything. we can't help it. It's just the way we are. Then there are those that use religion to create their own power and wealth. These are the ones you need to beware of. Conform or die.

The world doesn't see us as meddling fools unless you are now the world's spokesman. I don't remember getting that memo. If your referring to this forum, why are you in R/S exactly? To cast aspersions at Christians? So, we are supposed to just let you and not defend ourselves? I talk to people God leads me to, and He doesn't lead me to deal with those closed to the possibility of Christ like you seem to be. But, you asked us, so you get a response. If you knew the key to life and a way to live in an eternal paradise, wouldn't you share that with people you love?
