I have a home theater. I have a vcr with audio and video. I have a TV with audio and video. I have a PS2. I want to hear cable TV out of my home theater speakers. I want to watch dvds from the PS2 and hear it through the home theater speakers. I want to record things on the vcr and hear it through the home theater speakers.

What do I need to do?

Here's a link to some pages that help you understand how to hook up Home Theaters (plural)...No two systems are alike so it's important to learn the "ins and outs" for yourself...It's nearly impossible to give step-by-step instructions without actually being there in person.

Click this link right here for some help...Be sure to check out ALL of the pages to get the gist of things...Click here: http://www.whydoesmyhometheatersuck.com/allhookup.html

On your cable box there are Audio inputs and outputs your outputs from your cable box should connected to one of your Audio Inputs on your Home Theater.
Plug your 3 Video/Audio outputs from your PS2 into an AUX input.
For VCR to record whatever your recording from outputs should go into the Audio/Video inputs on the VCR.

Your options depend on the inputs and outputs on your theater amplifier. You might try checking the website of manufacturer. I have a Sony theater amplifier - their website gives you the configuration after you type in the different components - maybe other manufacturers also have something similar.
