You may have arrived at the real conclusion!! As human beings whose greatest geniuses may be far inferior to the possibilities for Universal intelligence, we may be incapable of contemplating reality as it actually may be. We exist in an isolated area of our Galaxy with no opportunity or ability to contact any life which may exist elsewhere. In actuality, we have no absolute concept as to how we arrived here or by what method, whether via a creator or by chance. Whatever we profess to believe (or reject) is nothing that we know as certainty; so-called faith is not knowledge, and our scientists are still very distant from being able to explain to us unquestionably our situation in the Cosmos and beyond. No one has ever truly returned from absolute death to elucidate us upon what does or does not follow physical demise...

That's a "glass is half-empty" approach to an age old question. We can ask as many questions as we want but the fact of the matter is that none of us really knows anything. The theists believe in their gods and the atheists believe in eternal nothingness. If we are both completely wrong about everything, we will have to live up to that when the time comes. Until then, let's just enjoy life and continue to question the unknown...

Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.
The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I --
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

What I've got works for me, right or wrong. I often wonder if things in the world really look the way that I see them through these eyes of mine. Are they really that color? I think that the spiritual world is like that. Things aren't probably exactly the way we think they are. However, if it works, why fret about it?

"God is not only greater than we imagine, He is greater than we *can* imagine."

Even the most true believer will come face to face with God and realize, "Man, I wan't even *close* to the Truth."

We have a few thousand years of history, and we claim to know it all. The truth of infinite creation is greater than we can comprehend. All we can do is learn what bits we can in this lifetime, and hope to continue learning in the next world.

The difference is, as an atheist, I know I'm right, the christian can only claim being right. So the question is moot.

But there has to be one right and one wrong. Either there is a God who gave life or there isn't. Everyone has a choice.
