I want a tattoo, and i've been thinking about it for about a year now. i keep my hand-drawn design where I can see it everyday. I want it because it reminds me of an awesome trip I took with my entire family awhile ago, but I don't want to regret it later. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that's ever gotten a meanigful tattoo, instead of one that just looked cool. it would be hekpful to know your opinion of your tattoos, after a long time. Thank you!

Most people I know only regret the tattoos that they got when they were very young that had no meaning. My ex had pimp on his back and got it when he was 15, he got that covered up when he was 18 with a very nice dragon. It sounds as if you thought this through, but if your not sure take more time. I was 13 when I wanted my first tattoo and I had a good friend that was an artist so he could have gave me one, but I held off another ten years just to be sure. I am not as afraid as I was to get something done because after seeing Riders cover up I think most things can be covered in the future if I change my mind.

No, I have done so several times. I have eight tattoos and 3 of which were names. The key is to know what you want and if you think for a second that it will temporary, know what you can cover it with. Every tattoo that I have has a special meaning and reminds me of different times in my life. I don't have any regrets.

i have 6 tattoos right now and plan on getting more... all my tattoos have meaning and thought behind them... my very first one i got at 18 it is a picture i drew my exhusband and i went together and that is just a memory of what my life used to be like.... the 2nd one i got a chinese symbol of princess on my back and i will always be a princess and so there is no regret there!!!! LOL the 3rd one is my sons initials in an ID bracelet with his footprints and handprints around my wrist and his birthdate in it (i will NEVER regret having my sons name anywhere on me... the 4th one my best friend and i got matching 4 leaf clovers with best friends around it (we have been friends for over 17 years so i will never regret my best friend)..... the 5th one is an ankle bracelet that i drive that goes all the way down the top of my foot into a toe ring i love the art work and time that one was... and my 6th one i just got about three weeks ago.... it is the biggest one that i have and i LOVE it!!! i have a pair of angel wings that r 7 inches down my back with devil horns in the center and a crooked halo dangling off the horns.... i think of it as myself... the FALLEN ANGEL... that is me and it means a lot... so i guess what i am saying is that i will NEVER regret something that i have on my body... they have this great saying.... NEVER REGRET SOMETHING THAT ONCE MADE U SMILE!!!! live by that... if it makes u smile then u wanted it bad enough... good luck

Well you need to get a tat that really means something to you do you won't regret it

for example if you love god or you are spiritual get a tattoo that symbolizes your religion.

A good thing not to do! Is put a boyfriends or girlfriends name on your body!

Even if you want to get that tattoo removed it takes about a year for it to be gone and then! there is just a big white mark on your skin from that tattoo and it will never tan..it will always stay white

If you like it get it! I can't stress this enough.. if you have thought about it. I have a few tatts and can't wait to get more. I know a man that served in WWII in the navy he got a tattoo during that time. I think that is so cool. All tattoos tell a story and are art. you can always have it removed if you end up not liking it. I think it's awesome...you will have that memory of your family with you forever.

I have 4 tattoos so far and all of them have meaning to me, I don't regret any of them. One of the last three that I got was of a tombstore with the names of my puppies on it, one if my puppies we had for nearly 16 years when we needed to put him down because of medical problems. So I also have the dates of his birth and death under his name. We still have one puppy who is nearly 9 years old, so I only have his birth date on it so far but am planning on getting the date he passes away added to it which I hope isn't for another 6 or 7 years.

i wanted my fisrt tattoo for ages, i had the design for three years before i got it
just to be sure i put it in a place where if i didnt like it, i wouldnt have to look at it and could be easily hid from others, my right shoulder blade
i never regreted it once and have since got 3 more tattoos, but each time i spent several months thinking about it, and consulting my tattooist, i have them all in places where if i where a shirt for a job interveiw etc they will be covered up

my favourite one depicts a map of my country (new zealand) our national bird and flower and i couldnt be more proud to have it

I not regret my tattoo, though it only one and I never get another. It a Flaming Heart over my heart with my son's name. It not great as I did this myself as it means more. But, most people say; "Wow!!! You did this"?
Now, Matt, I not want to see your Tattoo, but, it sounds pretty cool to me. LOL! Never regret taking on passengers or giving someone a free ride. ;-D

All of my tattoos are meaningful, and I don't regret any of them.

My tattoos serve to remind me of what I am and what is important.
