Usually when a dog does this it is because the stomach has been empty for a long while. Feeding several small meals will help. If your dog has a chronic problems with its stomach and the vet can find no reason for it, there is a product that will really help. I use gastralox, you can order it on the web. It really stops the problem.

I also had this problem with my male pekingnese. As you know Peke's have the pushed in face and every so often (though more in the warmer months) he would just puke up this whitish yellowish foam. Not alot and not a little. We asked the vet if it should be something to watch and worry about .. and he said that most dogs with pushed in faces dont get enough air through the noses and get congested? or something along those lines.
There's really nothing that could be done for him. It was just a spot here and there every couple of months and as long as it wasnt too frequent the vet said that I didnt have to worry about it.
I just hate cleaning up puke though! I have to admit, it does gross me out!
But anyway, what type of dog do you have? It could be just flem (congestion) or .. do you notice that he pukes a little after you take him outside? It could also be an allergy to something outside maybe. You can ask your vet to also check for allergies.
Hope that Helped a little!

My dog used to do that. She vomited what you described as foamy yellow liquid in small amounts but quit frequently. This worried me so I asked my vet and she told me it was yellow from the liver, but she wasn’t too concerned either. It sounds like your dog has weak or upset digestion.

Normally when they are throwing up yellow foam, it means that they aren't eating, it's their stomach acids.
But you have to find out why they aren't eating.
I had a cat that quit eating after being spayed, and she threw up yellow foam, so we had to start feeding her little bits of meat to get her stomach feeling fine and then she went back to eating.
If your dog is throwing up yellow foam, it could be something as simple as he isn't eating because he doesn't like the food, or it's going to storm or you have had alot of company today and he hasn't gotten the chance to go eat.. But it could also be something serious,
Is it something that happens just early in the morning? Sometimes if a dog goes the whole night without eating, they'll get up and throw up yellow foam, it's just that they waited too long to get something to eat. If this is the case, a little snack before bed usually helps.

My dog does the same thing from time to time, but I always notice it is when he hasn't ate in about 15-18 hours.....I keep his bowl full at all times, so he doesn't have a regular feeding cycle. I don't know if this rings truth to your situation, but I hope it helps

Having had dogs all my long life, I have decided that dogs have evolved this ability for the sole purpose of staining carpet and couches. The vet wasn't concerned for a reason...dogs eat just about anything and then let their system decide if it's worth keeping.

well yellow is the color of stomach juices and bile. Some times it can be natural for your dog to barf. but when my dog was doing that he was allergic to all food. once we go him the hypo allergenic dog food from the vet he was fine. my dog also go a blackish rash on his stomach so check for that too.
