FOOD THAT SHOULD BE AVOIDED IS ANY CRUNCHY FOOD THAT WILL POSSIBLY GET STUCK IN THE HEALING SOCKETS. AFTER A FEW DAYS HAVE GONE BY A NORMAL DIET CAN BE INTRODUCED AGAIN.

When I got mine out the dentist told me no hot food or drinks for the first 24 hours, and no using straws for a few days. Pudding, ice cream or frozen yogurt is good the first day, but you probably won't feel very hungry, especially if you have anasthesia as it makes most people queasy. Acidy things like orange juice or tomato soup or salty things might sting until you are a bit more healed. Hot cereal like oatmeal, grits or cream of wheat are nice after the first day, as are mashed potatoes, and soft cooked lentils or tofu for protein. You also may want to avoid soups with bits of veggies as they may get into sensitive places. Good luck, and don't worry, its not nearly as bad as you think and you'll be back to normal before you know it.

just think...you cant eat for about a week. like officially eat. it takes a while and you are in pain. not trying to scare you or anything. i got mine out this past summer, the first week i tried to eat stuff, it was painful. eat soup, jello, try popsicles too. i know that you cant eat it off the stick, but cut it and try to eat cold stuff. not TOOOOO cold or TOO hot. the dentist should also tell you what you can and cant eat. dont eat anything hard. such as candy, chips stuff like that. eat the softest foods ever: bread, soup, pudding. that was it. i ate lots of pudding and apple sauce. hope that it isnt that painful...=]
