Yes,it's a great truck for the money.What they don't tell anyone is that it's really a Mazda.That explains why it's so precise and well engineered.

I have a 2006 Escape and it is a great car. I wouldn't dare take it off the highway for fear of scratching it, but I know they do well on paved and off roads. It is built for the highway, so keep that in mind when you want to go off roading in it. There is also a higher roll over risk due to it's height.

yes there tough i test drove one and took it through every pothole i saw then the mud and on an old dirt/gravel road with 1 1/2 foot pot holes that we all use when we want to get rid of an old junk car then washed it off (dont tell ford that) lol then i bought IT and been using it to escape on the weakends

The Escape is great for light trail use. You won't be going bouldering or anything. Off-road wise, its definitely more capable than a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV.

What do you consider tough. It's a unibody and it's meant for the road. It does it's job well. My daughter has one and they have not had any trouble with it and have put a bunch of miles on it already. So in that case, yeah it's tough.

It's built like a car and not a truck. You will wreck it if you try to go out two tracking with it. This is a highway car.
