You may have read or answerd some of my other dental questions. Eg.. wobbly teeth wont come out, scared of the dentist/needles ect.
i have been and i was terrified. He pulled out 3 wobbly teeth and not i have a whole bottom row of adunt teeth. but now i need a plate to push forward out my top right eye tooth. currently, i have (top row) my two baby eye teeth and 1 adult eye tooth on my right. i also got out another two teeth with a needle too.

now my question.

i have all my teeth exept the ones i mentioned above.

I have a gap between my two top front teeth and i HATE it. i would nver get braces but i really want something to close the gap but not too expensive as i am 13, so my mum and dad would be paying for it. ive heard of the teeth effect bands but would never buy them over the internet. i am going to the dentist and i am going to ask him about them in 2 weeks (next apt.)
i can fit the straight side of a bobby pin in it
is there any cheaper way to close the gap
ta x

I would ask the dentist to refer me over to an orthodontist. They are highly trained and would pay attention to all of your teeth and how they are growing. If I understand correctly, you have not gotten all of your adult teeth or wisdom teeth. The orthodontist would keep a closeful watch and know what problems you have now and or in the future. Braces may or maynot be in the picture just yet, but as another reader mentioned they offer "invisible braces" now. You can take them out to eat. As I'm sure you realise that good hygiene is very important.

You might change your mind if you read about Lauren Hutton, a supermodel. The gap between her two top front teeth set her apart from everyone else. She refused to have dental work done, but did wear a slip-on "gadget" at times. I say good for her. If she had changed, it wouldn't have been her "look". She's beautiful. I would advise you to leave the teeth as they are. You can read about her at the address below.

Why wouldn't you get braces? Although I haven't had them yet, I know they work. I will have to get my teeth in braces really soon and I'm terrified of the dentist! You can get colours ones which are really nice or my cousin got invisible ones which you can hardly see. It's better to get them now than later!

First off I would recommend braces. They are the best way to do it. The next way would be veneers, which are basically a fake facing for your teeth now. However, they aren't very strong and are expensive. Since they are cosmetic and insurance company will not pay for them.

TO CLOSE A SMALL SPACE BETWEEN 2 FRONT TEETH AN ACTIVE RETAINER CAN BE MADE TO GRADUALLY CLOSE THIS SPACE. THIS RETAINER WOULD BE WORN EXCEPT WHEN EATING, AND YOU WILL BE GOING BACK T THE DENTIST FR REGULAR ADJUSTMENTS.
THIS IS CALLED MINOR TOOTH MOVEMENT.

Put in two chicklets.. Lol jking.. But um you can try and talk to your parents about that problem in an adult manner and do not raise your voice because then they would treat you like a child.. Good luck!!

Get braces while your parents are willing to pay...its the only solution.

Why won't you get braces? they really work! If you dont want colorful or metal ones, they offer clear, which are barely visible.
