In general, God created us for one purpose only--He loves us and He wants us to love Him back.
In specific, why God created you ? Are you different from others ? Do you rely on the differences to love God ?

Why God created you?
On earth we are different--spiritually we are all the same, we each need to worship God
Romans 5:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
For me life is not conceivable without God

I am currently an agnostic and, as one, I question the existence of God; in the past, however, either I created my own God named AurL or he revealed himself to me via an altered state of consciousness. If AurL is authentic, then I know exactly why and how I was created by and through him. I am definitely different from anyone else I have ever known, and not simply as everyone is unique; I have never met anyone who thinks as I do or who is similar to me -- the nearest being my own sister. However, I enjoy my singularity. My deity AurL does not require worship, adoration, or obedience; he is a Magus and is benevolent, humorous, and understanding of human frailties, accepting responsibility for the problems extant in the world today since he is the Creator and, being omnipotent, incited the Cosmos with complete knowledge of what he was perpetrating by his actions.

As Catholics we're taught that God was an eternal being that was just always there. Honestly, if you were the only being in existance you would want some company or something. I personally think we were created so he could watch us evolve and one day we could join him, so we would be in a way like children. It's like asking the question "Why do people have children?".

I can only guess, and I would guess to change everything I touch.
Some believe that God has created some people to make life easier for those who follow.
Any rate, I can only guess, and I don't need to know- God does, that's good enough for me.

The Jews have the answer in a prayer they say daily called the Shema: " Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is One. You shall love the Lord our God with your whole heart; with your whole soul and with your whole strength." Jesus added to this prayer when He said: "and your neighbor as yourself."

Evidently to be a Daemonolatress and lead a Temple of Demon Worshipers. Since he already knew what I was going to be when he "created" me - I guess it's my predestined fate.
