I have a slipped disc in my jaw - My Doctor said she doesnt think it will snap back in place so I will be getting a mouth guard to help relax jaw and so the disc can grow scar tissue which will fill in area disc should be. My question is....Will I ever have full range of motion if the disc is still out of place?

The mouth guard will work wonders. I had the same thing and I am okay today and without surgery - do not let them operate on you and replace the joint back some years ago a whole bunch of people had surgery with faulty joints put into their jaws - it was a mess.

O.K. yeah the mouth guard will help. You will have full range of motion, but if you see that after a couple of months or even years, that it hurts when you open your jaw, it hurts when you talk, chew, yawn, everything that involves opening your mouth, then go see a specialized doctor called Maxillofacial Surgeon. It may be possible that your disc will be replaced artificially by surgery.
Use these tips:1. don't force your jaw to open more than it can 2. don't chew things that are hard 3. don't grind or clench your teeth. Fallowing these tips well help you TMJ.

Definitely spend the money on a good mouth guard. It's not cheap, but it's 100% worth the money. I also had a slipped disk and I got a mouth guard from a dentist. Fortunately, I had a friend who was a dentist (he lived out of my area though) who made one for me much cheaper than my regular dentist. I'm not going to tell you I'm 100% better, but I do not hear the constant clicking all the time. I go through phases where I'm more stressed that it comes back, but nothing like it used to be when I was diagnosed 5 years ago.

Just do the mouth guard and you will notice some difference after about a month. It won't be a huge difference though for about 6 months.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment http://cure-sciatica.info
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

SAMMY,
THE USUAL CAUSE FOR TMD (TEMPROMANDIBULAR JOINT DISORDER) IS USUALLY CAUSED BY GRINDING YOUR TEETH DURING SLEEP.
YOU WILL NOT GET RELIEF FROM GRINGING WITH A NIGHT GUARD.
WHY NOT?
THE REASON FOR GRINDING IS COMPLEX. THE ONLY WAY TO HALT GRINDING IS TO START WEARING AN N.T.I.-SST BRUXISM APPLIANCE. HERE'S MORE INFO ON THIS WHOLE REASON FOR GRINDING AND ITS REMEDY.
http://www.nti-tss.com/

I SUGGEST YOU SEEK THE HELP OF A DENTIST EXPERIENCED IN TREATING TMD. A DISC WILL NEVER "GROW SCAR TISSUE" TO FILL THE AREA, BUT MIGHT RETURN TO ITS CORRECT POSITION.
